A Legal Platform, or Just the Address That Accepts Your Lawsuits
A flat $99 buys one year of registered agent service in Florida — the registered office, same-day scanning of court papers, and reminders before state deadlines.
We are not a neutral referee here. The $99 Florida registered agent service on the other side of this comparison is ours, sold under the name FL Registered Agent.org, and we would rather you bought it. The Rocket Lawyer figure below is their published rate as of July 2026. Their pricing is not the problem on this page, so keep reading for the actual argument.
$125 That Does Not Move Between Tiers
The published figure is $125 a year for registered agent service, and it holds identical whichever membership level you happen to carry. We went looking for a promotional first year and found none.
Give that its due. No opening rate means no step-up, no renewal shock, and no date to circle on a calendar. Several companies in this category cannot say the same thing. Whatever else this page argues, it is not arguing that Rocket Lawyer's price is a trap.
How Much Product Do You Actually Need
The argument is about scope instead.
Rocket Lawyer is a legal services subscription. Document templates, electronic signature, attorney consultations, business forms, and yes, registered agent service. If you want that assortment, the agent line is a sensible module inside something you were buying anyway, and $125 is a fair price for a module.
If you do not want the assortment, look closely at what the agent role actually is. Florida asks for a name and a street address in the state, somebody present during normal business hours, and prompt delivery of whatever turns up. That is the entire statutory function. Templates and legal consultations sit outside it. They may be worth money to you, but they are not making your appointment any more compliant than ours would be.

Our Offer Has No Second Floor
Ready when you are. Ordering takes about five minutes.
Order HereThere is one plan on this site. Ninety-nine dollars a year, renewing at the same ninety-nine, covering a Florida registered office address, same-day scanning of anything a process server delivers, alerts ahead of the state's filing deadlines, and portal access to every document we receive on your behalf. The single add-on that exists costs $15 an item for scanning ordinary mail, and we would rather print that than let you discover it.
A correction against ourselves. BetterLegal's advertised figure is $90, so $99 is among the lowest Florida rates rather than the single lowest one.
Two Routes Out of a Rocket Lawyer Appointment in Florida
Florida gives you a choice here, and one of the two is close to free.
The first route is the annual report. Every Florida LLC files one between January 1 and May 1, online only, and the form carries a registered agent field. Designate the incoming agent there and the change happens inside a filing you already owed, with no separate $25 to pay. The new agent signs electronically to accept the designation, which is the state's way of confirming that a real party has agreed to take the job.
The second route is the standalone change statement, INHS18, filed with the Division of Corporations for $25 at any point in the year. Use it outside the report window, or whenever waiting until spring makes no sense.
One statutory point sharpens the timing question. Fla. Stat. § 605.0116 permits a registered agent to resign on its own initiative. If your current agent ever does that, the choice of route disappears and you file straight away, because an entity carrying a vacant appointment is an entity neither the state nor a plaintiff can reach properly.
Either way, appoint first. Sign up with the incoming agent, make the filing, confirm on Sunbiz that the record now shows them, and close the old arrangement after that and not before.
Order Here The change of agent walkthrough covers both routes in order.
